Our Mission and Purpose Abiding Word is a member congregation of the South Central District of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. The Wisconsin Synod was founded in the state of Wisconsin over a century ago, and now has congregations throughout the United States and Canada and supports foreign missions in many parts of the world. Our teaching is based on the Bible, not human opinion or philosophy. We believe that God has given the Bible to mankind to show the way to eternal salvation through Jesus Christ, and that the Bible is God's truth in all its parts. It is the only reliable guide we have for everything we face in life and death. Abiding Word owns and operates a Lutheran Elementary School on its properties, offering Christian education at the kindergarten through eighth grade levels. Please speak with the principal about enrollment. A Preschool with extended care for children 2, 3, and 4 years old was added to Abiding Word's ministry in fall 1994. Information may be obtained from Preschool Director, Katye Gut. If you would like to know more about Abiding Word and its distinct teaching and fellowship, please speak with the pastor or an elder of the congregation. Our pastors are available for spiritual counseling upon request. A basic course in the teaching of the Lutheran Church is offered three times a year, beginning in January, May, and September. |
